Community/citizen science projects provide data that helps research biologists better understand our bird populations. Data helps to develop stronger conservation initiatives. These fun projects range from field surveys, to monitoring nests, to even birding in your own backyard.

The Great Southeast Pollinator Census at the Apopka Birding Park

Help us count pollinators in the entry garden at the Apopka Birding Park! We’ll be participating in a multi-state community science project studying pollinator populations. Participants of all ages and experience are welcome! The Great Southeast Pollinator Census August 21 and 22.

  • Counts are in 15 minute segments, between 9 – 11am. Forms provided
