Join Alan Shapiro and Kathy Rigling on a tour of this Lake County conservation area. This former muck farm is being restored with native plantings and attracts sparrows, towhees, chickadees, warblers and other birds of the thicket and grassland. Overhead we may sight a red-tailed or Cooper's Hawk. Along the riverbank herons and egrets may be spotted, and perhaps a shorebird. Limited to 12 participants.
